Usage & Billing Policy

This Usage & Billing Policy (“Policy”) describes how usage is measured and billed on the Frontro platform (“Frontro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Frontro Terms & Conditions.

By accessing or using Frontro services, you (“Creator,” “Customer,” or “User”) agree to the billing practices described herein.

1. Overview

Frontro provides a platform for creators to build, distribute, and monetize content across web, mobile, and TV applications.

Certain features of the platform, including but not limited to video streaming, livestreaming, and content delivery, are subject to usage-based billing.

Usage-based billing is calculated based on estimated data usage derived from platform activity, including content playback and viewer engagement.

2. Usage-Based Billing Model

Frontro does not bill solely on raw CDN or infrastructure-level data transfer. Instead, Frontro uses a modeled usage system designed to provide predictable, scalable, and transparent billing.

Usage is calculated based on a combination of:

• Active user sessions

• Content playback sessions

• Duration of content consumption (minutes watched)

• Estimated streaming bitrate and encoding profiles

This approach allows Frontro to:

• Provide consistent pricing across different devices and networks

• Optimize infrastructure performance

• Maintain predictable billing for creators

3. Estimated Usage Calculation

Estimated data usage is derived using standardized assumptions based on streaming activity.

General Formula

Estimated Data Usage (GB) is calculated as:

Estimated GB = Average Bitrate × Total Minutes Watched × Active Sessions

Where:

• Average Bitrate = Standard bitrate assumptions based on video quality and encoding

• Minutes Watched = Total time users spend consuming content

• Active Sessions = Number of concurrent or total playback sessions

Frontro may apply additional internal adjustments to account for:

• Adaptive bitrate streaming

• Device-specific delivery optimizations

• Content type (live vs. on-demand)

4. Pricing

Usage is billed according to the current rates. This rate applies to:

• Video-on-demand playback

• Livestream viewing

• Replay and archived content consumption

Frontro reserves the right to update pricing with reasonable notice in accordance with the Terms.

5. Important Disclaimer on Usage Estimation

Usage charges are based on estimated data consumption derived from platform activity, and may not reflect exact underlying infrastructure or CDN data transfer.

By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Billing is calculated using Frontro’s proprietary estimation model

• Estimated usage may differ from actual bytes delivered at the infrastructure level

• The estimation methodology is designed to provide fair, consistent, and scalable billing across all users

Frontro’s calculation methodology shall be final and binding for billing purposes.

6. What Counts as Billable Usage

The following activities contribute to billable usage:

• Video playback (on-demand content)

• Livestream viewing

• Replay of recorded livestreams

• Embedded or shared player views

• Content accessed across web, mobile, and TV applications

Usage is aggregated across all end users consuming a Creator’s content.

7. What Does Not Count as Billable Usage

The following activities are not included in usage billing:

• Content uploads by creators

• Internal admin or dashboard usage

• Previewing content within the CMS (non-public playback)

• Platform configuration or setup activities

• Non-streaming API calls (unless explicitly stated otherwise)

Frontro reserves the right to update these definitions as features evolve.

8. Billing Cycle and Reporting

Usage is calculated and billed on a monthly basis, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Creators will have access to:

• A usage dashboard displaying estimated consumption

• Monthly usage summaries

• Associated billing amounts

All usage data displayed in the dashboard is provided for informational purposes and may be subject to final billing adjustments.

9. Payment Terms

All usage-based charges:

• Are billed in accordance with your subscription plan

• Are payable via the payment method on file (e.g., Stripe)

• May be invoiced or automatically charged depending on your plan

Failure to pay usage-based fees may result in:

• Suspension of services

• Restricted access to content delivery features

• Termination of your account in accordance with the Terms

10. Modifications to Usage Model

Frontro reserves the right to modify:

• The usage calculation methodology

• Pricing rates

• Billing structure

Any material changes will be communicated via:

• Platform notifications

• Email

• Updates to this Policy

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of such changes.

11. Relationship to Subscription Plans

Usage-based billing is separate from subscription fees.

Subscription plans may include:

• Platform access

• Feature tiers

• Included usage allowances (if applicable)

Any usage beyond included allowances will be billed according to this Policy.
